Here are answers to some frequently asked questions about the library and its services.

  • How can I search the Minuteman catalog to see if an item is in the Randall Library's collection?
             Click the link at the left of this screen under "Navigation" marked "Minuteman Catalog" and use the "Search the Catalog" box.
  • How do I download library eBooks to my Kindle?

            This link shows illustrated step-by-step instructions.

  • How can I use my Minuteman account online?

            This link has instructions on how to access your account, change your PIN and other settings, pay fines and make other changes to your account.

  • How can I request Minuteman materials online?

            This link has instructions on how to place requests, check on requested items and freeze items you've requested.

  • I can never remember my library card number. Is there another login option?
            This link will show you how to set up a user name of your choice.
  • How can I get a library card?
            Adults should bring identification and something that shows a current address. We'll have you fill out a form, and then will enter your information in our database. The whole process takes about five minutes. Children aged 6 and up must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to get a library card.
  • I can't remember the name of a book I returned. Can you look that up for me?
            For privacy reasons, our system does not retain information about your borrowed items. However, you can use your online account to keep a list of items you check out. This link shows instructions for turning on your Reading History.
  • How do I reserve a museum pass?

            Call or visit the Circulation Desk. Let us know which pass you're interested in and for what date. Depending on the type of pass, you may be able to take it with you at that time. If not, we'll let you know when you can pick it up.

  • How can I request that the library consider buying an item for the collection?

            Ask at the Circulation Desk for a New Materials Request form to fill out, or use the online  form below. Write down as much information as possible (author, title, release date, etc.) The Library Director and Youth Services Librarian will consider each request as the budget allows.
